Grantx Welcomes Lindell Cumes as Chief Operating Officer

At Grantx, we are proud to announce the appointment of Lindell Cumes as our Chief Operating Officer (COO). Lindell joined us in June and has been pivotal to our effort to scale our innovative AI-powered grant funding solutions and strengthen our mission to streamline and democratize access to grant opportunities.

“I’m thrilled to join Grantx at this key growth stage. Throughout my career—whether working with private firms, the public sector, or nonprofit groups—I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it is to navigate grant funding. Too often, organizations with transformational ideas face funding barriers that limit their growth and long-term impact. As both an angel investor and a former founder, I know that non-dilutive capital can be the key that unlocks innovation.

Grantx is tackling this challenge head-on, and the scope of its mission immediately resonated with me. As the AI landscape evolves from general large language models to agent-driven solutions, we have a unique opportunity to build the world’s first agent-augmented grant-seeking workflow. By enabling innovators, inventors, disruptors—even grassroots community groups—to secure grant funding more quickly and reliably, we can accelerate progress across fields like climate tech, aerospace, and local community development.

In democratizing access to grants, we’re not just streamlining a process—we’re empowering the people and ideas that will shape our future,” said Lindell Cumes, COO of Grantx.

Cumes brings a dynamic track record as an entrepreneur, angel investor, and operational strategist who has repeatedly helped early-stage ventures navigate complex funding channels, scale product delivery, and realize strategic growth.

Lindell’s career includes founding TAG, a company that revolutionized supply chain management through smart contracts and deep learning solutions. Under his leadership, TAG raised €1M in funding and was successfully acquired by Suning Group in 2022. His entrepreneurial achievements further complement his extensive consultancy work, where he served as a partner at a public sector consulting firm. There, he helped publish a guide on the ethical use of advanced AI models in government and social research, demonstrating his commitment to responsible innovation. During this period, Lindell also developed the UK’s first augmented consultancy model—powered by a custom neural net, “Athena”—to manage complex project knowledge bases and client relationships.

Across the EU, UK, and U.S., Lindell has worked closely with early-stage ventures and established entities to accelerate their access to non-dilutive capital, refine operational workflows, and compress the time-to-value for new technologies. This background aligns seamlessly with Grantx’s mission to reimagine the U.S. grant landscape. By blending AI and Service-as-Software (SaaS+) approaches, Grantx streamlines the entire grant-seeking process—reducing application cycles by up to 80%, improving success rates, and channeling more funding into the initiatives that drive social impact, scientific advancement, and economic growth.

As COO, Lindell will refine Grantx’s operational strategy, guide product vision, and lead go-to-market execution in a market where federal, state, and private grant opportunities are often underutilized. His expertise will help ensure that billions in U.S. grant funding can be efficiently accessed, so organizations can move from navigating cumbersome paperwork to realizing their true potential.
